Atlantic Roots was founded on the belief that sustainable international artist development is built through continuity and collaboration.
As country music continues to grow internationally, Atlantic Roots aims to strengthen the connection between Nashville and Europe, bringing together the people, expertise and opportunities that contribute to long-term artist development.

Live, Publishing, Recording and Label Services each play an essential role in an artist's career, but their greatest value is created when they work together as part of one coordinated international development strategy.
The level of activity within each pillar may differ depending on an artist's career stage, ambitions and existing team. Rather than following a fixed approach, we consider all four pillars and tailor the strategy to each artist's individual needs.

Meet the founder
Thirza van der Weijde
Founder, Atlantic Roots
My connection to the American South goes back to the time I lived in Arkansas. Over the years, it has become a second home to me. It's also where my love for country music and Southern culture really developed.
Professionally, I've built my experience in artist management and live booking, including co-founding a European booking agency. That work has given me firsthand experience of the music industry and the opportunities and challenges involved in developing artists internationally. With country music gaining ground in Europe, bringing those two parts of my life together felt like a natural next step.
That's how Atlantic Roots came about.
AR stands for Atlantic Roots, but also for Arkansas. And Roots represents both the musical heritage of country music and the relationships and foundations that help an industry grow.
My ambition with Atlantic Roots is to contribute to the long-term development of country music across Nashville and Europe. By connecting artists, professional teams and industry partners, I want to help create stronger transatlantic relationships and more opportunities for country music to develop internationally.
